Do you offer custom private group tours?

We welcome custom group tours up to 25 people on any day of the week. Each tour will be custom designed to meet the distinct needs of your group. Please e-mail us at Chris@BostonHeritageTours.com and let us know the details of your request. Boston Heritage Tours Inc. will contact you post haste.

Do you offer shorter or longer tours?

Yes, but at this time for groups only. We can offer any length tour you require designed to fit your schedule.

Do you offer Cultural Heritage Tours of other Boston Neighborhoods?

At the present time we don’t but, this is our goal! In the future we will create Cultural Heritage Tours for Beacon Hill, South Boston and the Back Bay.

Will there be any place to sit during the tour? Is it a fast-paced tour?

We visit three Catholic Churches where you can relax shortly and appreciate the beauty, history and reverence all around you. Most of the tour involves standing and walking as we wind our way through the neighborhood. You should plan to be on your feet for the length of the tour. PLEASE wear your comfortable walking shoes. We walk at a relatively moderate pace.

Do you visit restaurants on the tour?

We don’t walk into restaurants but we provide you with a handout listing restaurants by category. Those headings include romantic, bistro, elegant boutique, and old-fashioned Italian American home cooking. As we pass by, we will also point out our favorite restaurants and why we love them.

Can we take photos during the tour?

Absolutely! Photography is encouraged along this tour. In fact, enter your best shot in our photo of the month contest and win two free tour tickets! We will display the winners each month in our photo gallery.

What happens if it rains?

Walks take place rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the day’s forecast weather conditions. Remember to bring water, sunglasses and sunscreen on warm, sunny days. Most of all wear comfortable shoes!

Does this tour have anything to offer a native of Boston or the North End?

Definitely! With out a doubt! The stories told on the tour are seldom heard and mostly unknown. Many of our attendees live in the Boston area, but never experienced the treasures of the North End. Locals often attend to learn about the neighborhoods and the city in which they live.

Are restrooms available during the tour?

Except for emergencies, bathroom stops are not available during the tour. Prior to the tour, all coffee shops have bathrooms for customers.

Are the tours offered in English?

Yes, we only offer tours in English. If you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreter to join the tour, please contact Boston Heritage Tours Inc. by emailing us at Chris@BostonHeritageTours.com
